Accounts Assistant\n\nA busy and growing logistics company based in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to recruit a Junior / Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their accounting career who is studying AAT and is keen to gain hands-on experience.\n\nNMW up to £30,000 (dependent of experience) \nMonday to Friday \n8:00am - 5:30pm \nStoke \n You'll receive on-the-job training and support while assisting the team with day-to-day finance and administration tasks, working in a fast-paced but supportive environment.\n \n Role:\n \n As the Accounts Assistant, you will be joining a small team of 3, including the Finance Director.\n \n You will be provided training and support for the below duties if you are slightly less experienced, but as the role progresses and as someone with previous experience, this role will consist of:\n\nAssisting with sales invoicing \nProcessing purchase ledger invoices \nHelping reconcile supplier statements \nPosting cash receipts with guidance from the team \nAssisting with expenses processing \nRaising order numbers and purchase orders \nHelping resolve basic invoice and account queries \nMaintaining records and supporting stock control \nGeneral administration and finance support duties \n Requirements:\n \n As the Accounts Assistant you will ideally be studying AAT or have achieved a level 1 or 2 AAT qualification, and are looking for somewhere to grow, learn and forge a long-term career in accounts.\n\nSome office-based experience preferred (accounts experience beneficial but not essential) \nBasic experience or exposure to Sage 50 (Online) preferred \nComfortable using Excel and keen to develop your skills \nGood attention to detail and willingness to learn \nFriendly, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team \nPositive attitude and interest in developing a career in finance \n Additional Information \n\nFull training and ongoing support to encourage development \nClear progression opportunities within the finance team \nBonus and pension \nStatutory Sick Pay \n20 days holiday + BH \nMaternity Leave \nPension scheme \nOnsite carpark \nChristmas period shutdown \nHands on, approachable and supportive management/directors \n This is brilliant opportunity for you to join an established, fast-growing business with great career prospects long-term.
