Road Sweeper Driver

We are looking for an experienced Road Sweeper Driver to join our team, covering Heathrow Airport and surrounding arears.\n\nIn this role, you will be responsible for keeping roadways, gullies, and site areas clean and safe to support ongoing construction activities.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDaily Operations\n\n * Operate road sweepers to ensure roadways, gullies, and work areas remain clean and safe.\n\n * Perform daily and weekly visual and operational checks to ensure the vehicle is in good, safe working order.\n\n * Conduct basic sweeper maintenance, including changing brushes and keeping the vehicle clean inside and out.\n\n * Load vehicles safely with the correct materials, avoiding contamination and following all environmental, health, and safety protocols.\n\n * Plan daily workload efficiently to minimise disruption on-site.\n\n * Wash down and clean the sweeper before leaving the site or entering highways.\n\nSafety & Compliance\n\n * Maintain compliance with site safety and highway regulations at all times.\n\n * Report any equipment issues or damages to your Line Manager promptly to ensure quick resolution.\n\n * Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork, timesheets, and maintenance logs.\n\nThis role is varied and hands-on, and the above duties are not exhaustive. The post holder may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of the role.\n\nExperience/Skills Required:\n\nEssential:\n\n * Valid HGV Licence and Driver CPC qualification.\n\n * Strong communication skills with a proactive and professional attitude.\n\n * Good timekeeping, reliability, and attention to detail.\n\n * Resilience and ability to remain calm in challenging road or site situations.\n\n * Reasonable level of physical fitness to manage sweeper maintenance and cleaning duties.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Experience with left-hand drive vehicles.\n\n * Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance (training provided if required).\n\n * Previous experience working onsite and operating plant.\n\n * Familiarity with two-way radios and operational manuals.\n\n * Understanding of Health & Safety protocols on construction sites.\n\nPlease note: this job requires a reasonable level of fitness for changing and maintaining brushes and keeping the vehicle clean (both in and outside of the vehicle)\n\nExperience:\n\n * Road Sweeper: 2 years (preferred)\n\nLicence/Certification:\n\n * Category C Licence (preferred)\n\n * Category CE Licence (preferred)
